Wool Testing Bureau Accreditations

SANAS

WTB is accredited to ISO.IEC by the South Africa Accreditation System (SANAS Lab no T0020). SANAS is a recognized international organization and has signed Mutual Recognition Agreements with a number of other international accreditation bodies such as Chinese National Laboratory (CNLA) China, international Accreditation (IANZ) New Zealand and National Association Authorities (NATA) Australia.

This overcomes international trade barriers and eliminate the need for international re-testing.


IWTO

IWTO is the international body representing the interests of the world's wool-textile trade and industry. IWTO membership covers wool growers, traders, primary processors, spinners, weavers, garment makers and retailers of wool and allied fibres in its member countries, as well as all kind of organizations related to wool products and the wool business in general.

WTB Certificates are issued in accordance with the requirements of the International Wool Textile Organization ( IWTO) under License no.05.


Interwoollabs

WTB is also a member of interwoollabs (IWL) which aims to develop co-operation between member laboratories to ensure the most correct and uniform application of IWTO test methods.


ILRT

WTB is a proud member of the Inter-laboratory Round Trial Group (ILRT) and actively participate in international trials providing accurate and precise testing.

The members represent the largest independent wool testing laboratories in the world, and are collectively responsible for the testing of approximately 40% of the worlds greasy wool production, and in excess of 80% of all greasy wool tested.
